Kathmandu. Nepali Congress has decided to make senior leader Ramchandra Poudel its presidential candidate.
The performance committee meeting held at the party office Sanepa this morning decided to make Poudel a candidate for the presidency. In the meeting, General Minister Vishwaprakash Sharma proposed to make Ramchandra the presidential candidate.
Speaking the decision of the meeting, spokesperson Prakasharan Mahat informed Poudel that the decision was taken unanimously. Mahat said that he decided to request the Congress candidate to win.
Paudel will register his candidacy today at the election officer’s office established in the federal parliament building complex in Naya Baneshwar. The new 8-party alliance agreed to give Congress the presidency.
